KBOO Interviews Oregon VRC Members on HB 3270 and Oregon Election System weaknesses

Oregon VRC members Beth Hahn and Jan White, together with computer software expert Will Illingworth provided an excellent panel discussion on KBOO's People Rise Up program on April 18th. The program covered the fact that Oregon votes are counted on proprietary (secret) software and there are insufficient checks and balances in the system to determine and verify the outcome. Oregon needs election verification by random sample hand counts to verify the outcomes of our elections. Otherwise our optically scanned paper ballot system is essentially "faith" or "trust" based, and not verified as accurate on election day.
