Timeline of Exit Poll & Machine Tally Data in Pres. Race - Election Day 2004
So what about those exit polls that showed Kerry winning on Election Day in 2004 by 3 percent in the popular vote? What about the final machine counts that had Bush as the victor by 2.5 percent? What's the deal with that 5.5 percent last-minute swing? Did you know that exit polls have always been remarkably accurate, usually to within 1/2 of 1 percent (0.005%)? That is, until the mass introduction of electronic voting systems and their secret software.
Did you know that the ones promoting the concept that exit polls are not accurate are the corporate-owned mainstream media and certain political leaders and pundits? Did you know that research and polling experts believe wholeheartedly in the accuracy of exit polls?
See the attached graph sheet for a look at the 2004 presidential election results over the course of the election evening and judge for yourself.
